AN ACT TO AMEND SECTION 75-67-341, MISSISSIPPI CODE OF 1972, TO PROVIDE FOR AUDITS OF PAWNBROKERS; TO PROVIDE A FEE FOR SUCH AUDITS; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. Section 75-67-341, Mississippi Code of 1972, is amended as follows:

75-67-341. (1) The Commissioner of Banking shall develop and provide any necessary forms to carry out the provisions of this article.

(2) The Commissioner of Banking shall perform annual audits of pawnbrokers licensed under this chapter and is authorized to charge a fee of up to Two Hundred Fifty Dollars ($250.00) per location for auditing pawnbrokers.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after July 1, 1999.
